On his blog yesterday, David Coallier congratulated and showed his gratitude towards the PEAR group elections. He first passed on his good wishes to Joshua Eichorn, Helgi Þormar Þorbjörnsson, Joe Stump, Christian Weiske, Chuck Burgess, Travis Swicegood and Brett Bieber. He also used this opportunity to thank those who voted him as the new president of the PEAR Group. He further added saying, “my place as I consider it and as Greg mentioned on the mailing list yesterday is much more ambassadorial than presidential and being the PEAR ambassador around the world, I'll be glad to discuss, argue, improve the general idea of PEAR to anyone.”

Nomination phase for a seat in the PEAR Group started in early May and concluded by the end of May. Election of members for the PEAR Group started from the 1st of this month.
