Open Swing Framework Now in Version 1.6.4
Open Swing has added a new version 1.6.4 to its swing Frameworks. OpenSwing is an open-source suite of graphics components based on Swing toolkit.
With the open-source frameworks RIA applications, to swing the front-end or 2tiers client-server-based applications, with or without a database can be developed. It provides data binding mechanism between components and data model, based on the MVC paradigm. Data model is based on Java Beans (POJOs) and it is supported in all OpenSwing components, such as Grid control or components container.
This framework is available in Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, Apache Cayenne, JPA and provides an integrated set of graphics components in the UI designers of the popular IDEs such as NetBeans, JBuilder, Jdeveloper and Eclipse. The framework is designed to cover enterprise application development issues, such as data extraction from grids and data import to grids, document viewing on the most popular desktop applications (like reports on Excel, CSV, XML, HTML, PDF, RTF), activities logging, internationalization support (label translation, date format, decimal symbols, grouping, currency support, etc.), authorization management according to grants owned by connected user.
The new version comes with an expanded online documentation and some fixes, and it can be used with java 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6.
