Mel Mason Gets Promoted As the New Global CIO of Experian
Experian, the global information services company, has promoted Mel Mason, previously Managing Director of Technology Services for Experian UK & Ireland, to Global Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Mason joined Experian in 2003 from GUS’s Home Shopping division where he spent 12 years as IT Director, and also had responsibility for Customer Service and Credit. Previously he spent 17 years at Tesco, progressing to become deputy to the IT Director.
In his new role as the Global CIO, Mason would be responsible for the development and implementation of a common technology strategy and deployment policy as well as enhancing service delivery quality, integrating data centres and networks, and improving overall operating efficiencies, across Experian businesses globally. He would report to Mike DeVico, Group President, Experian Americas.
Commenting on his appointment as the new global CIO, Mel Mason said, “Experian is known for the power of its information and analytics solutions.
