Tata Elxsi, Proassist Shake Hands to Jointly Develop Embedded Systems
Tata Elxsi Limited, the technology arm of the multi-billion USD Tata Group, has announced its tie up with Proassist, one of Japan’s leading providers of product/system development services in embedded control electronics.
Speaking on the tie-up Ms. Ikoma Kyoko, CEO, Proassist said, “ Tata Elxsi and Pro assist are in collaboration to build the PGDC (Proassist Global Development Center) in India with TEL, Bangalore. The PGDC will be responsible for embedded projects in DSP, Imaging and ASIC for Factory Automation customers in Japan. TEL and PA will jointly work on R&D projects and IP developments.”
Proassist is inherently strong in embedded solutions - Factory Automation technologies, providing services in embedded control system, hardware (ASIC/FPGA) to circuit design, consulting to prototyping/mass production and system integration.
According to Tata Elxsi, the partnership reiterates its strength in embedded products and design- DSP, Imaging and ASIC. Both the companies will look towards drawing synergies and working together on various embedded projects for mutually benefiting their customer base in Japan.
Manoj Raghavan, Geography Head for Japan and East Asia, Tata Elxsi said, “ Japan remains a key market for Tata Elxsi. This collaboration with Proassist for the building the PGDC will not only help both the companies but will also strengthen our foothold in the long term and increment the level of our technical expertise in the embedded space and IP development.”
